Momentum Board

Momentum Board

Chris Robbins - Co-Founder, Director of Momentum Lacrosse Ohio

All-state (OH) and Division I recruit, Robbins brings great enthusiasm and drive to developing programs and individuals.

Earning the OCC Coach of the Year in 2013, Robbins led his first team as a head cocah to their first conference championship game. Currently he is in his third season as Head Coach at Gahanna Lincoln High School (OH). Says Robbins "We have more than doubled the program in the last couple of seasons and have generated great interest at all levels in our community. I am very excited about what the future holds for Gahanna Lincoln Lacrosse. Momentum was created out of that same desire to create something special for developing players that is fun, affordable and helpful in developing skills in summer."

Michael Kinney - Co-Founder, Director of Momentum Lacrosse Michigan

One word can describe Coach Michael Kinney, passionate. Kinney's relentless drive to better the lives of his family, friends and community earned him the honor of becoming a 2010 US Lacrosse Man of the Year.

Having completed his third season as Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Alma College (MI), Michael has built Alma into a top level contender in the MIAA and the midwest region.  Alma has reached the MIAA playoffs in each of his three seasons and in 2016 and 2017, the Scots reached the MIAA finals.  Known as an excellent recruiter of talent with relationships all over the country, Kinney is also known for his ability to develop young players on and off the field and to get the most out of them when it's needed.

"Helping these young men achieve their dreams of playing in college is a huge reward to what we do at Momentum, but to see the players and parents spending quality time together all summer, developing meaningful relationships with other players and families and creating life lasting memories is the best part of what we do.  We're blessed to have a model that develops athletes, promotes a love of the game and keeps families together."

Prior to moving to Michigan, Kinney's 20 plus years of coaching experience has led him through the ranks of youth, high school and NCAA coaching.  Piror to Alma, Kinney served as an assistant at Hiram College (OH) and Capital University (OH).

Michael Spatafore - Momentum 614 2019 Coach

A former High school lacrosse defensive coordinator, Michael is from Vineland, NJ and attended Otterbein University (Cardinals) in Columbus Ohio, where he was a four year starter and four year captain for the Men's Lacrosse team. He earned 1st Team All conference honors his senior year and was part of the first class for the Cardinals to make the NCAA tournament. He currently is on the Otterbein coaching staff. This season the Cardinals had eight players named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference (All OAC) team for the 2016 season.

Spatafore said "I am thankful for the opportunity to play the game of lacrosse and all of the experiences it has provided me. I am most excited about the future of the game and the opportunity to pass along my knowledge and experience to the next generation, who have the opportunity to accomplish all they desire".

Tim Green - Director of Club Operations

As a seasoned professional Tim has a wealth of experience in business, marketing, and service that has spanned a 25 year career. This is Tim's second season with the club.

Tim said "Coach Kinney and Coach Robbins invited our oldest to play in the inaugural season but for what ever reason I did not follow through with it. Based on the experience we had last year, I am really regretful we missed out that first summer. It won't happen again! Our family is very excited about the club's growth. Both of our sons will have a great summer with Momentum because of the addition of different age groups."

Tim has been instrumental this year both helping us organizationally and making positive strides for a successful summer.

Eros Robbins - Team Mascot

Eros is new to the game. In his second summer season with the club he has become quite skilled and passionate as it relates to ball retrieval.

He is most excited on the occasion that someone misses the cage at practice. He takes every opportunity to assist in rounding up balls before, DURING, and after practice. Eros has proven to be a valuable member of the staff who is mostly in charge of fun. He also makes all of the important decisions regarding club direction at board meetings.

He is quite the artist. Wait until you see the new uniforms he has designed for this summer. When interviewed about the new design Eros said "woof, Woof!, WOOF!"
